As gold prices continue to soar, working with the Gold Metal Clay can be costly so there is an interesting alternative – Gold Leaf! In this advanced metal clay fabrication module you will learn:
This short course is a module of the JDMIS Advanced Certificate in Jewellery Fabrication using Metal Clay. For information about how this course fits into a complete jewellery education, visit our Continuing Education Roadmap
  • How easy it is to add Gold foil to the Metal Clay silver surface after firing to dress up a design.
  • How to cut the Gold shapes to fit onto any surface.
  • Techniques to securely fix the gold leaf and ensure it remains on the piece.

* This program includes all materials needed. Students may make use of classroom equipment during class and practice sessions.

This advanced module has prerequisites - it is only open to graduates having completed the Foundation Certificate in Jewellery Fabrication using Metal Clay.
